Kimberlie Buchheister
First introduced to Pilates while looking for a way to get back into shape and
reduce stress after spending years in the corporate environment and becoming a
new mom. Within a relative short period of time saw and felt a difference in
the physical aspects and realized the benefits of the mind/body process. Felt
inspired to pursue education in the Pilates field and share the benefits with
others using Polestar Pilates Fitness, Physical Mind and American Aerobic
Association & International Sports Medicine Association (AAA/ISMA)
certifications since 2002. She has taught in the private and public sector,
which includes Berthoud School of Gymnastics, Diamond Peaks Physical Therapy
Center, Wildfire Community Arts Center and McKee Wellness Center.
Kimberlie has experience in teaching core techniques to the young as well as
the aging. Her style of teaching assists all clientele to associate every day
activities and movement with muscle engagement along with the Pilates
connection, from the physically fit young gymnasts to the aging population who
needs to reconnect with their bodies. She is able to incorporate core
conditioning and mind/body association. Currently focusing on the
rehabilitation principals of Pilates and muscle engagement while gaining
knowledge and understanding of new ergo techniques and fitness practices.
Kevin McCabe
Body Ergonomic Specialist focusing on providing stretching, flexibility
exercises and educating employees in proper muscle engagement for at-risk
postures and injury reduction. Pilates Based Instruction - Physical Mind, and
Polestar certified Pilates instructor since 1998. Covering the 5 areas of
Pilates based training for certification. Has taught in numerous settings
including the private sector, corporate environments, and professional
athletes.
While competing as a tri-athlete Kevin began searching for a competitive
advantage. This is when he was first introduced to Pilates. With consistence
practice there was considerable improvement with times, fitness, physical
abilities, strength, mental focus and flexibility. After discovering the many
benefits of Pilates, Kevin chose to pursue additional education around this
field. Proving to be life changing both physically and mentally he began to
provide the techniques to others. He uses many different types of core
conditioning to best address the given clientele. This muscle engagement
philosophy focuses on improvement of the mind/body connection and Pilates
based conditioning.
His style of teaching benefits everyone. He has since incorporated stretching
and flexibility exercises to reduce at-risk postures used in the workforce.
Through observation and feedback he has gained knowledge and understanding of
muscle engagement in various settings. This allows him to educate the
workforce on core conditioning and prevention of injuries helping to minimize
worker fatigue.
Other related experiences include facilitation of behavior based safety
process for Kodak, Observer, and Trainer/Coach. He utilizes observation skills
that identify at-risks postures and lack of muscle engagement for the
workforce.
